Here you can find Ginger’s suggestion about wines chosen according to the season and combined with food to taste at best the drink for the Gods.
Cheers!
This is the June Ginger’s choice to drink a toast to summer:
Terre di Chieti Igp Pecorino “Murelle” 2011
Miglianico Canteen (Abruzzo)
www.cantinamiglianico.it
The grape variety is Pecorino 100%, the colour is a nice straw-yellow with greenish nuances, the perfume is fresh and fruity, almost remembering a Sauvignon, savoury and mineral in the mouth.
Try it with shellfish or with a nice fish soup.
Very good as aperitif as well.
A curiosity. The grape is called “Pecorino” because it used to grow along the paths covered by the flocks of sheep that were leaving droppings there.
Everything has the adequate explanation!
